My studio is in the hills above Camas, WA. Growing up surrounded by beautiful wooded landscapes; the Pacific Northwest has influenced my organic style.  I hand build my art from porcelain clay, sculpting my portrayal of nature on the surface of each piece.  I then barrel fire my work using slip resists and clay masks, directing the fire, creating the color and organic texture.

 

Born and raised in the Pacific North West, I love that my ceramic studio is on 20 wooded acres in the foothills of the Cascades.  This magnificent location not only provides wood for my barrel firings but, is a continual source of inspiration from which I draw.
